Ragged lawn

I'm finding it harder to move around the yard, with the grass growing high. I was just thinking that this little corner of the housing estate used to have such pride, well kept by knowledgeable people. It is sad how things can slip away.

The economy has turned a lot of folks away from doing even basic maintenence of their domesciles. My neighborhood, once basically a Retired Military subdivision used to be clean, neat and attractive. Now, many of them have Passed and their properties have been farmed out to rental companies interested in the bottom line. Many yards are now plain dirt because those who live there use them as auxillary parking lots...
What's kind of funny is that once my property was the "messy" one, since I grow Organically and plan Permaculturally. I guess some good came of this...less Chem sprayed on lawns and getting into the Gulf and Bayou...
