I hauled the rake out from the stable, and swept the front lawn, first pass. One of those rites of autumn that call me to action.

Raking always gives me blisters. I need to get the dead grass out from the part of our lawn nearest the back door. Ugh. Leaf raking will come later here, under the plum tree, which is just starting to turn orange.
